Tython is the Jedi starter world. It's an idyllic forest world where you meditate on the ways of the Force. Or you can kill dozens and dozens of flesh eating monsters. There's that too.
At a guess I'd say that most people who come to Star Wars: The Old Republic start with a Jedi or a Sith. The Mandalorian has probably boosted the popularity of the bounty hunter class but when you think of Star Wars the first thing that comes to mind is surely still lightsabers.
The thing is though that Tython and Korriban, the starter worlds for the Force using classes, aren't nearly as good as Ord Mantel and Hutta. Tython is slightly more open than Korriban, though a lot of that is illusory – the wilderness of this world doesn't look as confining as Korriban's canyons and tombs but it often is. There's also quite a lot of backtracking in the class story and I went back to the Jedi Temple so often between quests I was starting to think I was back in Lord of the Rings Online with its frequent returns to Rivendell.
There's a few interesting moments in the side missions, and Qyzen Fess is an immediately likeable companion who feels like a good match for my consular – his absolute belief in her as the Herald of the Scorekeeper both justifies him coming along on the journey and ensures that any irreverant comments she might make will just roll off him because he knows she is the Herald. It's a fun dynamic.
